This page describes the differences in specifications for Acall Meeting's two operating modes, "Outside Mode" and "Inside Mode.

Difference between Outside Mode and Inside Mode

There are differences between Acall Meeting's Outside Mode and Inside Mode in terms of screen display and operations that can be done by users.

💡 Note
In the Outside Mode, you can change the color of the Acall Meeting background image and meeting status (e.g., before/after start).

The following items are can be set in the device settings screen of the Acall Meeting application.

Logo / Status color / Background image	〇	×	In Inside Mode, only text size of the meeting room name can be changed.
Language setting	〇	〇
Show / Hide meeting room name	〇	×	In Outside Mode, you can switch hide / show the name of the meeting room.
Voice announcement	×	〇	In Inside Mode, voice notification can be set before the start or end of a meeting.

These are the difference of the operations that users can do in Acall Meeting.

Start / End meeting (ENTER / EXIT)	〇	〇
Auto-cancel	〇	〇	When a meeting is not started, it will be automatically canceled and releases the meeting room reservation.
Manual extension	×	〇	In Inside Mode, you can manually extend the meeting time.
Auto-extension	〇	×	In Outside Mode, it automatically extends the meeting time if the meeting is not ended (EXIT). Auto-extension can also be turned off from the device settings. ※ If there is another reservation, it will not be automatically extended.
Auto-end	△	〇	If auto-extension is OFF in Outside Mode, the system will automatically end the meeting when the scheduled end time is reached.
Immediate use	〇	〇	You can start meeting without a reservation.
Worker code authentication (Immediate use)	〇	〇
Worker code authentication (Reservation)	〇	×	When worker code authentication is set in Outside Mode, the start and end of the reservation must also be authenticated.
Timeline display	〇	×	In Outside Mode, the bar on the right side of the screen provides a timeline of the meeting schedule.

Below are the differences in notifications sent to your email and Acall Mobile when a meeting starts, ends, or is auto-canceled.

	Outside Mode	Inside Mode	Description
5 minutes before the meeting start time	〇	〇	Email/Acall Mobile notification will be sent to the person in charge 5 minutes before the meeting start time.
Auto-cancel	〇	〇	Email/Acall Mobile notification will be sent to the person in charge when the meeting is automatically canceled.
5 minutes before the meeting end time	〇	×	In Outside Mode, email/Acall Mobile notification will be sent to the person in charge 5 minutes before the meeting end time.

Below is the difference in how the meeting title and guest information appears on the Acall Meeting app.

	Outside Mode	Inside Mode	Description
Hide meeting title and guest information	〇	〇	In Inside Mode, meeting title and guest information will be displayed after the meeting is started (), but in Outside Mode, they are hidden regardless of the meeting start status. They will not be displayed when the meeting is set to "Private" or when the guest information viewing policy is set to "Person in charge".
