When a guest checks in at the reception, a notification is sent to the person in charge.
You can set various options, such as responding to the guest or receiving the notification via CC.

Respond to visitor notifications from ACALL mobile
When a guest checks in at the reception, the person in charge will receive a notification on ACALL mobile (smartphone app).
Respond to visitor notifications from chat services
When a guest checks in at the reception, the person inc harge will receive a notification via a chat service like Slack, Microsoft Teams, etc.
Respond to visitor notifications via calls
You can talk to a guest at the reception over an extension phone or FaceTime.
