ACALL RECEPTION allows you to talk directly to your customers and greet them by making Audio/Video calls via FaceTime. This makes it possible to receive notifications of visits in a smart way through email or chat applications, while providing the same response as a traditional phone. There are two ways to be notified, per worker and per group, and the FaceTime call settings for each are described below.
NOTE
- FaceTime can only be used with Apple products (Mac, iPad, iPhone, iPod, etc.). In addition to the receptionist, you will also need to have an Apple product in your office as the receiver.
- If you are using Facetime, the ACALL mobile smartphone application will not receive a notification of your visit.
Turn on the FaceTime function
After logging in to Portal, click [App Settings] > [ACALL RECEPTION] in the side menu.
In the [Additional functions] section, switch [FaceTime] to ON and click [Update] at the bottom of the screen.
Select the notification method
In the Portal side menu, click Apps > ACALL RECEPTION > Edit (pencil mark) on the appropriate device to open the edit screen.
Select [Custom Call] or [Staff Search] when setting the action for the button label in the menu configuration.

If you select [Custom Call], you can select [SELECT GROUP] or [SELECT WORKER].
For more information about menu configuration settings, please refer to Menu Configuration Features.
Reference
If your phone is connected to an extension phone and your AppleID is registered, the priority order of calls will be (1) extension number and (2) Facetime.
Making a call per worker
The administrator should set the AppleID in the worker's edit screen.
If you want to set up a batch of worker information in CSV, please do CSV import of workers.
Workers with general privileges can set their own AppleID in Account Settings.
Calling by group
After logging in to Portal, click Groups in the side menu > Edit (pencil mark) on the appropriate group.
The Edit Group screen will be displayed. In the Apple ID field, enter the Apple ID of the device you want to notify, select Video/Audio, and click Save.
Make sure the FaceTime call is delivered to the device you specified

Finally, launch the ACALL app on your iPad and verify that you can make a FaceTime call when you select the worker or group you entered your Apple ID for.
